Community Engagement

NYU Langone Health, Mount Sinai’s Institute for Health Equity Research, the Institute for Family Health, and a network of community-based organizations across New York City have partnered to engage communities in efforts to promote COVID-19 vaccine confidence and uptake. With community needs and strengths at the center, we develop and disseminate resources, host events and trainings, promote inclusion and diversity in COVID-19 clinical trials, and much more!

Research

NYCEAL’s formative research informs the approach and strategies we use to promote vaccine confidence and equity in New York City communities. Through community engaged research, we continue to learn how community members feel about COVID-19 vaccines, where they get their updated COVID-19 information from, and what messages they trust and why. We then tailor our message delivery, resource development, and activities to increase access in areas of need.
